Is it really just some licensing deal with Arnold Palmer that you can't just use his name on anything that is half lemonade and half iced tea? I mean, he's dead. Clearly he doesn't care anymore. Even when he was alive, I'm not sure he really cared all that much. Arnold was kind of an easy-going guy. Anyway, here I sit with a lemonade iced tea from the same people who screwed up the lemonade that I just tried. Hopefully, this is a little better. It says on the box that it's made with real tea. Maybe that will make it better.
It pours the color of some weak tea. I suppose this has something to do with the fact that it's only half tea and half lemonade, but the pink lemonade was all pink and no lemonade. This would look better if it was more tea, but I get what they were going for. It's just not a particularly appetizing color. It doesn't smell particularly bad. It will likely have the same artificial sweetener aftertaste as the other one, but the smell is that of sweetened tea more than lemonade.
First sip isn't good. It doesn't taste particularly like tea, and it doesn't taste particularly like lemonade. There are lemons in here, or at least some variation of lemons, but the tea is not asserting itself as it should, and that artificial sweetener is mocking my taste buds. I suspect this is going to be another one of those very short reviews that ends when I just can't take it anymore.
Tip in is sickly sweet lemons, water, and possibly some pomegranate. The middle is so horrific that it reminds me that I didn't like it in the previous one, and I'm not going to swig any of the other ones I have waiting for review. This is absolutely terrible. Nothing is made better by the finish, as the artificial sweetener leans into it aftertaste with a vengeance.
