I'm not sure if they were going for a logo that was reminiscent of the Illuminati pyramid or something, but that's the vibe I get from their little triangle-circle mark. Well, their beer has been pretty good so far, so I'll deal with the fact that I may be supporting a shadow government with these purchases.
The somewhat hazy orange beer doesn't really attack the world with a giant head; it's reasonable for the beverage, and it leaves lacing. So, this is a good presentation. The aroma is very powerful, and it has oranges and grapefruits over a bit of pine and maybe a thin cracker.
First sip is a punch in the tongue. There's a heavy tanginess that verges on sour before it sulks back into just a film of not particularly enjoyable tang all over the mouth. The citrus is there, and I wanted the citrus to overwhelm this film, but it's clearly not going to happen.
Tip-in is dry juice from tangerines and grapefruits with a mild carbonation burn and a biscuit malt (or maybe soft cracker) under it. The middle is nothing like the sip - it's rich, smooth, and thick with juices and backed with that slightly stuffy malt. The finish is a touch of bitter dust and a smidge of tartness.
Bottom Line: Don't sip. Drink quickly to enjoy
